abstract | Disclosed is a method and apparatus for detecting abnormal accumulation of bacteria that can automatically detect abnormal accumulation of statistically significant bacteria from the results of a bacterial test. For each place to be subjected to detection of abnormal accumulation of bacteria, a sample is submitted for each specimen for a specimen submitting patient and all bacteria to be detected during a predetermined observation period at a predetermined count frequency. The total number of patients who were positive was counted, and for all bacteria, using the binomial distribution based on the total number of positive patients for each bacteria, the number of patients submitting specimens, and the positive rate for each bacteria previously determined, The probability of the Bernoulli trial that is established in the case of separation without any non-isolation is calculated according to the null hypothesis that there is no bias in bacterial separation and that bacterial separation is controlled only by chance. The probability of being controlled only by chance is small, and it is determined that there is an abnormal accumulation due to bias in the separation of bacteria. [Selection] Figure 1 |
