titleOfInvention | Anti-candida active composition containing ginger ingredients |
abstract | Kind Code: A1 Candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes, especially oral candidiasis of elderly people and vaginal candidiasis of women, are both infectious diseases that have a large number of patients and are likely to recur. Treatment with antifungal agents is difficult to suppress recurrence because of the risk of side effects and the emergence of resistant bacteria and limited long-term use. There is provided a new anti-Candida active composition that is not necessary to consider the risk of side effects and resistant bacteria for skin and mucosal candidiasis including those infectious diseases, and is easily available to patients and can be used conveniently. [Solution] Shogaol, which is a plant component, exhibits strong anti-Candida activity. In addition, plant components such as gingerol are easy to obtain high-purity products, and are also approved for use in foods. Therefore, it can be applied to a wide range of products from pharmaceuticals to foods, and if it is put to practical use, patients can easily obtain any product and use it easily. Oral candidiasis and vaginal candidiasis are likely to recur, but compositions containing plant components can be used with peace of mind without worrying about the risks caused by the application of antifungal agents.
