A surgical blade forms an incision formation. Surgical instruments (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) include surgical blades (106, 212, 408, 508, 604) configured to move for incision formation. The surgical instrument also includes wires 122, 222b, 224b, 412, 414, 512, 514, 610, 612 configured to move the surgical blade. The surgical instrument further includes actuators 112, 208, 406, 506, 606 configured to reduce the length of the wire to move the surgical blade. The surgical instrument could be configured to move the surgical blade in a second direction then a first direction in response to a single shortening of the wire. Further, the wire is configured as a first wire, and the surgical instrument includes the second wire, and the surgical blade is moved in the first direction according to the shortening of the first wire, and the second according to the shortening of the second wire. The surgical instrument could also be configured to move in the direction. [Selection] Figure 2C |
