Disclosed is a silver powder that has good dispersibility in a solvent at the time of paste preparation and can suppress the occurrence of flakes and the like during kneading, and a method for producing the silver powder. The silver powder and epoxy resin are kneaded with a centrifugal force of 420 G, and a paste obtained by kneading using a three-roll mill is measured at a shear rate of 1250 sec −1 measured with a viscoelasticity measuring device. Silver powder having a stress of 1 to 10N. The silver powder is prepared by mixing a silver complex solution obtained by dissolving silver chloride and a complexing agent and a reducing agent solution, and reducing the silver complex to produce silver powder. In addition to containing an acid, 0.1 to 15% by mass of a water-soluble polymer with respect to silver is added to either or both of the silver complex solution and the reducing agent solution for reduction, and then the interface before drying. It is obtained by surface treatment with an activator or a surfactant and a dispersant. [Selection figure] None |
