An ink backflow preventive composition for a writing instrument, which is disposed on the rear end surface of ink stored directly in an ink storage cylinder of a writing instrument and advances in accordance with the consumption of the ink, wherein the ink backflow preventive body is difficult. A fatty acid amide swollen with a liquid xylene resin is added to a volatile liquid.
