abstract To provide a stator of a rotating electric machine capable of ensuring insulation between a stator winding and a stator core. SOLUTION: A cylindrical stator core 31 having a plurality of slots 35 formed in the circumferential direction, and a stator winding 32 formed by a segment 33 having an insulating coating layer 39 on the outer periphery and accommodated in the slots 35. In the stator 30 of the MG 10 having the above, the peripheral edge of the slot 35 on both end faces of the stator core 31 is a curved surface portion 37a. As a result, even if the stator winding 32 contacts the peripheral edge of the slot 35 on the end face of the stator core 31, the contact portion on the stator core 31 side is the curved surface portion 37a. Damage to the insulating coating layer 39 can be suppressed. As a result, the insulation between the stator winding 32 and the stator core 31 can be ensured. [Selection] Figure 7
