abstract To provide an inhibitor concentration grasping device having a simple configuration capable of grasping with high accuracy the concentration of an inhibitor in an absorbing solution to which an inhibitor mainly composed of molybdate is added. This double-effect absorption chiller / heater has various electrodes and a potentiostat 14 installed so as to be immersed in an absorption liquid containing an inhibitor mainly composed of molybdate in a high-temperature regenerator 1. Inhibitor concentration monitoring device. The potentiostat 14 applies voltage or current between the working electrode 12 and the counter electrode 13, deposits molybdenum dioxide by cathode polarization that shifts the potential of the electrode 12 in the negative direction, and then performs electrode conversion by anodic polarization that shifts the potential in the positive direction. The molybdenum dioxide precipitated in 12 is eluted, and the cathode current or cathode voltage during cathode polarization and the anode current or anode voltage during anode polarization are measured, and the concentration of the inhibitor in the absorbing solution is determined based on these measured values.
