abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel gene related to seed storage protein accumulation in a plant. Another object of the present invention is to modify the seed storage protein composition of plants using the gene, thereby modifying the characteristics of plant seed components. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The present invention has identified genes involved in accumulation of plant storage proteins. The present invention produces a plant having an altered storage protein accumulation by disabling the polynucleotide in a plant that has a polynucleotide functionally and accumulates the storage protein in a storage type vacuole.
