titleOfInvention Method for recovering valuable metals from IZO scrap
abstract Provided is a method for efficiently recovering indium and zinc from an indium-zinc oxide (IZO) sputtering target or an IZO scrap such as an IZO scrap generated during production. A valuable metal from IZO scrap is characterized in that IZO scrap is used for both an anode and a cathode, and indium and zinc are recovered as hydroxides by periodically reversing the polarity and performing electrolysis. And a method of recovering valuable metals from the IZO scrap, wherein the hydroxides of indium and zinc obtained by electrolysis are roasted and recovered as oxides of indium and zinc.
