The present invention provides a method for asymmetric hydrogenation of a ketone compound, which is simple in operation, has high selectivity and high productivity, has good atom economy, and has good applicability to industrialization. The method of asymmetric hydrogenation of a ketone compound of the present invention comprises a ketone in a second solvent in the presence of an in-situ catalyst obtained from a chiral ligand and a metal ruthenium salt in a hydrogen atmosphere. And a step of adding a compound and an alkali to asymmetric hydrogenation reaction of the ketone compound. The in-situ catalyst is preferably obtained by reacting the chiral ligand and the metal ruthenium salt with a first solvent. [Selection figure] None |
