abstract The present invention provides a cBN sintered body having excellent fracture resistance and wear resistance in difficult-to-cut centrifugal cast iron processing. The present invention is a cBN sintered body comprising a cBN component of 50% or more and 90% or less or 40% or more and 85% or less by volume, and alumina and zirconia are contained in the cBN sintered body by volume. 9 to 50%, and the zirconia / alumina weight ratio is 0.1 to 4 inclusive. The tool using the cBN sintered body according to the present invention for the part involved in cutting is superior in strength, hardness and toughness of the cBN sintered body.
