abstract |
Provided is an image forming method and an image forming apparatus capable of forming a uniform thin layer with a small amount of a pretreatment agent even for a non-permeable recording medium made of a polyolefin resin having a low wetting tension. After applying a pretreatment agent containing an active energy ray-curable material to the surface of a recording medium, the application surface is subjected to a discharge treatment, and then an active energy ray is applied to the uncured pretreatment agent layer. An image forming method in which an ink containing a curable material and a colorant is ejected by an inkjet method to form an image, and then an active energy ray is irradiated to cure the pretreatment agent and the ink.
