abstract The present invention provides a fuel cell stack using a fuel cell that can be reduced in size, thickness, and weight and can discharge reaction products satisfactorily. The first fuel cell includes at least a first and a second fuel cell, and the first fuel cell includes an electrolyte membrane, an anode catalyst layer and a cathode catalyst layer sandwiching the electrolyte membrane, and an anode current collecting layer on the anode electrode side. The anode current collecting layer has a fuel flow path for supplying fuel to the anode catalyst layer, and a through hole for discharging a reaction product generated by the reaction in the anode catalyst layer. The first fuel cell and the second fuel cell are fuel cell stacks laminated so that the anode electrode side of the first fuel cell and the cathode electrode side of the second fuel cell face each other. .
