A protein immobilization method, a gene characterized by expressing a protein having a signal sequence in the base sequence of a gene in a state having the signal sequence, and immobilizing the protein having the signal sequence on a carrier. A carrier in which a protein having a signal sequence in the base sequence of the protein expressed in a state having the signal sequence is immobilized, and a protein having the signal sequence in the base sequence of the gene in a state having the signal sequence A reagent for measuring a test substance, comprising a carrier on which a protein is immobilized.
