abstract The present invention provides a lame thread and a knitted fabric thereof having an appropriate stretch property, bulky and soft, and having a soft texture. A method for producing a lame processed yarn in which a multifilament yarn 2 and a lame yarn 3 are simultaneously false twisted at a higher yarn feeding speed than that of the multifilament yarn 2. An untwisted portion having a crimped multifilament yarn 2 and a lame yarn 3 disposed around the crimped multifilament yarn 2 and wound around the multifilament yarn 2 in one direction; It is preferable to repeatedly form the untwisted portion wound in the reverse direction in the length direction.
