abstract The present invention provides a thermal processing apparatus that generates a feedback driven protocol for thermal processing of a human or animal body part. The apparatus comprises measuring means adapted to obtain data relating to heat treatment from the body part, and means adapted to optimize heat treatment of the body part based on the obtained data. Also provided is a method for generating a feedback driven protocol for heat treatment of a human or animal body part. The method includes obtaining data relating to heat treatment from the body part and optimizing the heat treatment of the body part based on the obtained data.
