titleOfInvention | Whole blood assay of intracellular biomarkers of cell signaling pathways-Use in measuring activation of a given cell population |
abstract | The present invention relates to an ELISA assay method for a whole blood sample of a cell activation state of a predetermined cell population of a sample, comprising measuring a phosphorylation state of an intracellular protein (biomarker) involved in a cell signal transduction pathway. . A particular application of the method for assaying the phosphorylation status of intracellular proteins according to the present invention relates to the follow-up of agonistic or antagonistic agents on the cellular activation of cell populations present in whole blood samples. Such an application can aid in patient follow-up or can be used for drug screening. In this context, this application relates in particular to hemostasis by observing the activation of platelets contained in whole blood samples, in particular the examination of blood clotting. |
