Use of telosinobfagin as an analgesic agent in the treatment of acute pain and chronic pain, pharmaceutical composition containing terosinobafgin and use thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the use of terosinobufagin or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative of terosinobufagin in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of acute and chronic pain. The invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of terosinobufagin. The present invention further relates to a method of inducing analgesic action against acute and chronic pain, the method comprising administering to a human or animal an effective amount of terosinobufagin. Results from in vivo studies showed that terocinobufagin is more potent than morphine and does not show the well-known side effects of opioids. In addition, the results of in vivo and in vitro tests have shown that telocinobufagin is not cardiotoxic. [Selection figure] None |
