A family of carboxylic acid group-containing fluorene / fluorenone copolymers is disclosed as a binder for silicon particles in the assembly of negative electrodes for use in lithium ion batteries. These binders significantly improve the cycle performance of silicon by preventing electrode degradation over time, thus allowing the use of silicon as an electrode material. Specifically, because these polymers are conductive on the first charge, they bind to the electrode silicon particles and are flexible to better respond to electrode stretching during charge / release, facilitating battery current flow It is conductive. |
