| abstract | (A) Vinyl acetate emulsion resin including copolymers such as vinyl acetate ethylene emulsion, vinyl acetate acrylic and acrylic emulsion, polyvinyl alcohol vinyl formamide copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol resin including polyvinyl alcohol vinylamine copolymer, sulfonic acid functionalized polyvinyl alcohol resin, modified Polyvinyl alcohol resin in general; and a step of preparing an aqueous finish comprising 0.05 to 65% by weight of the finish resin solids selected from the group comprising a mixture thereof; and (b) saturating the finish to the fabric. Incorporating the liquid into the fabric so as to obtain a wet fabric; and (c) raising the temperature of the wet fabric under conditions controlled so that the finishing resin is interconnected with the fibers of the fabric.
