titleOfInvention | Storage stable polyol composition for producing rigid polyisocyanurate foams |
abstract | An aliphatic polyester polyol having a hydroxyl number less than about 100 and prepared by reaction of at least a polycarboxylic acid and a polyhydroxy compound; an aromatic polyester polyol; a novolac polyether polyol; and a hydrofluorocarbon blowing agent Polyol compositions are disclosed that may be included and may be storage stable for at least 60 days. The composition can react with a polyisocyanate at an isocyanate index of about 2.5 to about 4 to form a rigid polyisocyanurate foam. When applied to metal substrates, the foam generally also exhibits improved cohesion, as well as improved adhesion and reduced voidage. |
