Surgical apparatus and method |
abstract |
Abdominal surgery systems and methods are disclosed. The system may have one or more end effectors attached to the introducer and / or tray and inserted into the abdomen via large perforations through the patient's navel. The end effector may have a surgical instrument such as a gripper. The system can have an operable control arm that is inserted into the abdomen via a small perforation through the patient's body wall. The end effector is attached to the control arm and can be removed from the introducer or tray simultaneously or simultaneously. The control arm can then manipulate the end effector to perform the surgery. [Selection] Figure 46 |
