| abstract |
The present invention is an OLED device comprising a cathode and an anode, and having a light emitting layer between them, and (a) between the cathode and the light emitting layer, coupled to the 8th or 9th position. A first layer comprising a silylfluoranthene compound comprising a fluoranthene nucleus having a silicon atom further bonded to three independently selected substituents; and (b) between the first layer and the cathode. A second layer disposed adjacent to the first layer, wherein (i) a second layer containing an alkali metal or an organic alkali metal compound, or (ii) a second layer containing an azine compound. An OLED device is further provided. Embodiments of the present invention can provide OLED devices with improved brightness and low drive voltage. |
