titleOfInvention | Large refractory article and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract | A method for sintering large refractory ceramic articles is disclosed. The method comprises the step of supporting an unfired refractory object on a plurality of support plates, which are then supported by a plurality of support members having an arcuate upper and lower surfaces. A fixing material is arranged between the unfired refractory body to be sintered and the support plate. As the refractory body is sintered, the density of the article increases. At the same time, the size of the object decreases, and its shrinkage may cause the object to break if not otherwise adjusted. The structure of the support plate and the support member moves to prevent the generation of harmful stresses in the refractory object as it is sintered. |
