Influenza vaccines contain increased amounts of H3N2 antigen compared to normal doses. In a general embodiment, the vaccine comprises hemagglutinin from strains A / H1N1, A / H3N2 and B, wherein (i) the weight ratio of H3N2: H1N1 hemagglutinin is greater than 1, and (ii) H3N2 : B hemagglutinin weight ratio is greater than 1. In such vaccines, the weight ratio of H1N1: B hemagglutinin is usually 1. For example, the vaccine may contain 15 μg hemagglutinin for A / H1N1, 30 μg for A / H3N2, and 15 μg for B. |
