The present invention relates to a catalyst and a method for producing the same, wherein the catalyst comprises a suspension of a monolith catalyst support containing one or more insoluble or sparingly soluble compounds of an element selected from the group consisting of elements consisting of cobalt, nickel and copper. Obtained by contacting with liquid. The invention further relates to the use of the catalyst according to the invention in a process for hydrogenation of organic substances, in particular nitrile, and to a process for hydrogenating organic compounds, characterized in that the catalyst according to the invention is used in the process. |
