titleOfInvention | Transcutaneous recoverable vascular filter |
abstract | A recoverable vena cava filter for temporarily or permanently preventing pulmonary embolism (PE) is disclosed. The filter according to the present invention has a tube-in-tube structure, and hemispheres overlap. The hemisphere includes a plurality of expandable legs. The first tube can have a plurality of slots that allow deployment of the first, second, third, or fourth set of expandable legs of the second tube. The free end of each leg of the first set of expandable legs is oriented in a direction opposite the free end of each second set of legs, so that the first set and the second set of expandable A cage is formed comprising legs from the legs. The design of the present invention allows the retrieval of the filter by the catheter and snare from either end of the filter. [Selection] Figure 4 |
