abstract |
The present invention relates generally to the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods for the treatment and prevention of asthmatic airway inflammation. Treatment includes administration of a 5-HT4 receptor antagonist to a patient in need of treatment; more specifically, administration of an aroylated 4-aminomethylpiperidine derivative as defined herein. Another aspect of the present invention is directed to a composition for the treatment or prevention of respiratory disorders, including a pharmaceutical composition. |
