Some embodiments relate to a method for genetic analysis of cells selected from within a heterogeneous cell population. The cell population can be divided first. Selected cells are identified by imaging and then specifically targeted and lysed by irradiation with an energy beam to specifically release cellular components to the culture medium. The culture medium is then sampled and assayed for the desired nucleic acid. [Selection] Figure 1 |
