An apparatus is provided that includes a scaffold with a gel or liquid component disposed on at least a portion of the luminal surface, wherein the gel or liquid component is configured to contain microbubbles. Also provided is a system comprising a reduced pressure source, the scaffold, a manifold near the scaffold, and a conduit for fluid communication between the manifold and the reduced pressure source. Further provided is a method comprising the steps of implanting the scaffold at a tissue site and breaking a substantial portion of the microbubbles to induce fluid flow in the scaffold. In addition, a device is provided that includes a slowly degrading material and a scaffold that includes a rapidly degrading material. In addition, a system for connecting neural tissue and a microchip assembly is also provided. [Selection] Figure 1 |
