abstract |
This embodiment provides an instrument and method suitable for containing and delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site. The instrument generally includes at least one container (18) for holding a therapeutic agent and a pressure source (70) for facilitating delivery of the therapeutic agent. In one embodiment, the pressure source can be in selective fluid communication with the proximal region of the container, fluid from the pressure source flows through at least a portion of the container, and the therapeutic agent is passed through the container. Push towards the target site. In another embodiment, the pressure source is optionally connected to the first hollow tube (62) and the container, or fluid from the pressure source bypasses the container so that the therapeutic agent is forced into the catheter. Either the second hollow tube (63) and the catheter can be in fluid communication to enter the catheter. |
