titleOfInvention Cement base reinforcement cord
abstract The present invention relates to a reinforcing cord for cement base. The cord includes a plurality of coated metal filaments twisted together to form a cord. The cord has a cross section, and when viewed from this cross section, three or more of the filaments form a closed substructure having a cavity in the center of the three or more filaments. The code further includes an anticorrosion compound, which is at least present in the cavity. The anticorrosive compound provides cathodic protection to the coated metal element. The invention further relates to a structure comprising a plurality of cords, for example a knitted structure, a braided structure, a welded structure or an adhesive structure. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a cement substrate reinforced by a cord according to the present invention and a method for preventing the generation of hydrogen gas at the interface of a cord embedded in the cement substrate.
