Aspects of the present invention include isolated nucleic acids encoding the consensus DIII region of protein E, and vaccines made using them, and flaviviruses, particularly West Nile virus and Japanese encephalitis, using the nucleic acids and vaccines described above. The present invention relates to a method for causing a host to generate an immune response against multiple serotypes of a virus. |
