Diesel particle filter with improved back pressure characteristics |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a diesel particulate filter. This diesel particulate filter contains a ceramic wall flow filter substrate and a coating made of a material having a high melting point, deposited in the inflow passage. The coating (6) closes a plurality of pores in the wall portion of the wall flow type filter substrate connecting the inflow passage and the outflow passage on the inflow side of the soot particles, but prevents the flow of the gaseous exhaust gas component. Has no properties. The coating is made from one or more oxides having a high melting point or a fiber material having a high melting point. In any case, this coating significantly reduces the depth filtration and thus the back pressure rise significantly during the depth filtration stage. |
