abstract Method and apparatus for sterilization of articles with liquid, gas and gas plasma (FIG. 8). The apparatus is a holder for non-contact fixing of an instrument having two chambers and a lumen, wherein the first part of the instrument is located in the first chamber and the second part is located in the second chamber. A holder that is fixed to be positioned, a liquid medium that is accommodated in the two chambers, and a fluid pressure in the first chamber of the container that is reciprocally increased while simultaneously a fluid pressure in the second chamber is decreased. And a pump means. The pump means discharges at least the entire internal volume of the liquid medium for a given maximum volume of the instrument having a lumen through the lumen for each stroke.
