titleOfInvention Multi-sensor system for managing heart failure patients
abstract The apparatus includes a plurality of sensors and a processor. Each sensor provides a sensor signal that includes physiological information, and at least one sensor is implantable. The processor includes a physiological change event detection module that detects a physiological change event from the sensor signal and generates an indication of the occurrence of one or more detected physiological change events, and a heart failure detection module. The heart failure detection module uses the first rule to determine whether the detected physiological change event is indicative of a change in the subject's heart failure state, and uses the second rule to fail the heart failure in the first rule. It is determined whether or not to invalidate the determination, and indicates whether or not the heart failure state has changed according to the first and second rules.
