titleOfInvention | Copolymer blend composition used to increase the filler content of paper |
abstract | A copolymer blend composition used to increase the filler content of paper. A method for producing a heterogeneous polymer blend comprising one or more anionic polymers, one or more cationic polymers, and one or more nonionic polymers, comprising: Adding a first amount of a polymerization initiator and one or more anionic or cationic monomers to a non-neutral solution (wherein the charge of each monomer is equal); (b) a second amount 1) having the opposite charge to (c) the third amount of the polymerization initiator and (a) the monomer. Add ionic monomer of more than seeds, add a fourth amount of the above-mentioned polymerization initiator stepwise, react the remaining monomer, and (e) neutralize the resulting polymer blend how to. It also relates to heterogeneous polymer blends comprising each polymer produced by in situ polymerization of one or more anionic, cationic, and nonionic monomers or by polymerizing separately and then blending. A method for increasing the filler content of paper or paperboard, wherein (a) a heterogeneous polymer blend is mixed with precipitated calcium carbonate filler, (b) the resulting mixture is mixed with pulp slurry, and (c) the resulting slurry mixture. And a method of forming paper or paperboard. Finally, a method for increasing the filler content of paper or paperboard, (1) mixing different blends or precipitated calcium carbonate filler with pulp slurry, (2) mixing remaining ingredients with pulp slurry, (c) It also relates to a method of processing the resulting pulp slurry mixture to form paper or paperboard.
