The present invention comprises a surface non-foamed layer A and a surface foamed layer B and has a total sheet thickness of about 0.5 to about 20 millimeters (mm) and is particularly suitable for thermoforming applications such as refrigerator cabinets and door liners. A multilayer sheet is provided. Improved thermoformability, including reduced cycle time and polymer and energy savings. Preferably, the non-foamed thermoplastic polymer surface layer (A) has a thickness of about 0.25 to about 6 millimeters and the foamed thermoplastic polymer surface layer (B) is any other foamed polymer layer. And a total thickness greater than the total thickness of the non-foamed layer, together with any other non-foamed layer. Also provided are improvements in thermoforming processes, thermoformed articles, methods of providing insulating articles, and insulating articles. |
