Provided is a method for producing semiconductor nanoparticles having a core-shell structure having high emission intensity. The method for producing semiconductor nanoparticles according to the present invention comprises heating a first solution containing a group 13 element-containing fatty acid salt, a group 13 element-containing halide, and an alkali metal amide to heat a group 13 element-containing nitride.
