titleOfInvention Manufacturing method of glass, manufacturing method of glass material for press molding, and manufacturing method of optical element
abstract [PROBLEMS] To stably produce a high-quality, high-refractive-index optical glass with little coloration in the production of glass containing at least one component of Bi 3+ , Ti 4+ , Nb 5+ and W 6+. A method for producing a glass that can be produced, and a method for producing a glass material for press molding and an optical element from the glass produced by the above method are provided. A glass melt 2 is accommodated in a crucible 1 whose surface contacting the glass melt 2 is made of a noble metal or a noble metal alloy, and an electrode 3 is brought into contact with the glass melt 2 so that at least the glass melt of the electrode 3 is melted. The surface in contact with the liquid 2 is made of a noble metal or noble metal alloy having a standard electrode potential higher than the standard electrode potential of the noble metal or noble metal alloy, the surface in contact with the glass melt 2 of the crucible 1 is the cathode, and the electrode 3 is A potential is applied so as to be an anode, and a voltage is applied between the cathode and the anode up to a potential value at which a current flowing between the cathode and the anode becomes substantially zero. Suppresses erosion of the contact surface. [Selection] Figure 1
