abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel platinum binuclear complex having a platinum (I) -platinum (I) bond and a method for producing the same. Another object of the present invention is to provide a homogeneous platinum complex catalyst using a novel platinum binuclear complex. Another object of the present invention is to provide a precursor of a platinum nanoparticle supported catalyst. A platinum binuclear complex according to the present invention is represented by a general formula (Formula 1) and has a bond of platinum (I) and platinum (I).
