abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery having good discharge performance, charge / discharge cycle characteristics and the like by using a binder having good binding force and low swelling property with respect to an electrolytic solution mainly in the field of secondary batteries. SOLUTION: Aliphatic conjugated diene monomers 10 to 60% by weight, ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomers 0.1 to 20% by weight, and other monomers 20 to 89 copolymerizable therewith. In the polymerization of 100 parts by weight of a total of 9 parts by weight of monomers in the presence of 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of a cyclic unsaturated hydrocarbon having one unsaturated bond in the ring, a chain transfer agent is used.
