Provided is a method for producing a lithium transition metal silicate-based positive electrode active material in which oxidation of a transition metal element is suppressed. A step (a) of synthesizing a fine particle mixture using a lithium source, a transition metal source, and a silicon source, a step (b) of mixing the fine particle mixture with a carbon source, and the mixing with the carbon source. A step (c) of producing a green compact by filling and pressurizing the fine particle mixture into a mold, a step (d) of firing the green compact in an atmosphere filled with an inert gas, and pulverizing the green compact. A process for producing a lithium transition metal silicate-based positive electrode active material. In particular, in the step (a), a spray combustion method is adopted, and the lithium source, the transition metal source, and the silicon source are supplied into a flame together with a combustion-supporting gas and a combustible gas to synthesize a fine particle mixture. It is preferable to do. [Selection] Figure 1 |
