abstract |
The present invention provides a copolymer latex for paper coating and a composition for paper coating that provide a coated paper having excellent coating operability and excellent pick strength during printing. A copolymer latex for paper coating comprising 40 to 90% by weight of the following copolymer latex (A) and 10 to 60% by weight of the copolymer latex (B) is used. Copolymer latex (A) Aliphatic conjugated diene monomer 45 to 70% by weight, ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer 1 to 10% by weight, and ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith It is composed of 20 to 54% by weight. Copolymer latex (B) Aliphatic conjugated diene monomer 20 wt% or more and less than 45 wt%, ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer 1 to 15 wt% and ethylenically unsaturated copolymerizable therewith It is obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer composed of 40 to 79% by weight of monomer.
