The present invention provides a method for improving the rejection of a reverse osmosis membrane that can effectively improve the rejection even if it is a significantly deteriorated membrane without greatly reducing the permeation flux. A reverse osmosis membrane for passing a first organic compound having a molecular weight of less than 200, a second organic compound having a molecular weight of 200 or more and less than 500, and a third organic compound having a molecular weight of 500 or more through the reverse osmosis membrane. How to improve rejection rate. An amino acid or an amino acid derivative is suitable as the first organic compound.
