abstract |
The present invention provides a method capable of effectively improving the rejection rate without significantly reducing the permeation flux and even with a significantly deteriorated film. A method for improving the rejection of a permeable membrane comprising a step of passing an aqueous solution containing a compound having an amino group and having a molecular weight of 1000 or less (excluding those having a pH of 7 or less) through the permeable membrane (amino treatment step). By passing a low molecular weight amino compound through water, a deteriorated portion of the membrane can be repaired and the rejection rate can be effectively improved without greatly reducing the permeation flux of the permeable membrane.
