abstract |
A novel composition containing conjugated linoleic acid is effective as an animal feed additive and a human dietary supplement. Linoleic acid is converted to its conjugated form. In this conjugated form, the resulting composition is low in certain unusual isomers compared to conventional conjugated linole products. Furthermore, the present invention provides a composition comprising a metal oxidant chelator prepared according to a novel method for controlling oxidation of CLA to volatile organic compounds and for controlling oxidation during storage.
