Disclosed is a tablet of a dipeptidyl peptidase-IV inhibitor compound. [Solution] Dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitors (referred to herein as DPP-IV), which can be 98.5 to 100% pure, are such as tablets and capsules having the desired hardness, disintegration ability and acceptable dissolution properties, A high dose drug that can be directly compressed with certain excipients into a solid dosage form. DPP-IV is not inherently compressible and therefore formulation issues exist. Excipients used in the formulation enhance the flow and compression properties of the drug and tablet mixture. Optimum fluidity contributes to uniform mold filling and weight control. The binder used provides sufficient cohesion for DPP-IV to be compressed using a direct compression method. The tablets produced provide an acceptable in vitro dissolution profile. [Selection figure] None |
