abstract | A transfer roller having low hardness and good adhesion, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the transfer roller are provided. A transfer roller in which a polyurethane foam layer is formed in a mold around a core metal, and an average opening diameter (A) of the surface of the polyurethane foam layer is 0.05 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less.
