abstract |
The present invention provides a stator for a rotating electric machine and a method for manufacturing the same, which can reduce the height of a coil end in a segment type coil. A stator 10 includes a pair of straight portions 23g that are parallel to each other, a turn portion 23d that connects one end of the pair of straight portions 23g to each other, and a pair of other ends of the pair of straight portions 23g that are bent. A predetermined number of segment conductors 23 having open ends and a stator core 22 formed with a plurality of slots 25 for accommodating a pair of straight portions 23g are provided. The segment type coil is formed by connecting the tip ends of the predetermined open ends of the segment conductor 23. The open end portion includes a joining side oblique portion 23e that is bent obliquely at a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction, and a joining end portion 23f that extends in the axial direction from the tip of the joining side oblique portion 23e.
